Caring for Survivors: An Approach to Long-Term Follow-Up after SCT

This presentation was offered as part of the 2021 BMT Lecture series, in coordination with the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, Alberta .

Dr. Kareem Jamani is an hematologist at the Foothills Medical Center in Calgary and his a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary since 2017. He completed his fellowship in Calgary and Seattle and completed his master in public health through Harvard. Dr Jamani is also the Clinic Director for the Alberta Blood and Marrow Transplant Long Term Follow-Up Clinic.

The objectives of this session is to:
1. Describe the risks of late complications after stem cell transplant;
2. Describe local survivorship efforts.
